The Best Among You Are
The Best Among You Are Those Who Learn the Qur’an and Teach It
خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
Islam is a complete way of life for all humanity. The Holy Qur’an not only introduces us to our Creator but also provides guidance in every aspect of life, helping us distinguish between right and wrong and encouraging us to embrace goodness and righteousness. Therefore, learning the Qur’an, reciting it, teaching it to others, and acting upon its teachings are among the most virtuous deeds.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ emphasized the importance of learning and teaching the Holy Qur’an by saying:
Hadith: The Virtue of Learning and Teaching the Qur’an
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

This blessed Hadith teaches us that to understand the Qur’an as our guide to life, we must learn to read it correctly and teach it to others in an effective and beneficial manner. This helps us understand its message and makes it easier to live according to its teachings.
The Great Virtue of Teaching the Holy Qur’an
Teaching the Holy Qur’an is a noble act of religious service. A Qur’an teacher does not merely teach students letters and words; they also serve as a means of connecting them with the Book of Allah.
A good teacher plays an important role in helping students develop correct pronunciation, learn the rules of Tajweed, understand the etiquette of Qur’an recitation, and appreciate the importance of Islamic teachings. Through a teacher’s dedication and effort, students develop their Qur’an recitation skills and learn to improve their religious lives.
Therefore, parents should choose teachers for their children who are qualified to teach the Holy Qur’an correctly and who treat their students with kindness, patience, and responsibility.
In this way, children can develop not only a strong foundation in Qur’anic education but also noble character, a sense of responsibility, patience, compassion, and kindness.
